Interesting fact, I was watching an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and he said that Ted Kennedy used to yodel at passing ships while sailing. The yodeling made me think of “Mexican yodeling” - that is the gritos the Mariachi singer.

It was an interesting interview, as Robert Kennedy Jr. described big gatherings with lots of cousins and his loud, boisterous uncle. It reminded me of my immense family, and of Mexican-American families structures in general. The secret to the Kennedy success is that they had this big family. It helped humanize them, and make them ordinary when they were in fact not.
